TIMOTHY McILWAIN, ESQUIRE

After graduating in 1991, he was the recipient of the prestigious Martin Blatt Law Scholarship and returned to the east coast to obtain his juris doctorate from New York Law School in 1995. He was admitted in 1996 to New Jersey and United States District Court. In 2008, he was the only New Jersey lawyer admitted to Gerry Spence’s prestigious Trial Lawyers College,  where he spent a month in a Wyoming barn practicing jury trial methods with the country’s best.

Attorney McIlwain’s competitive spirit as a former high school and college quarterback translated well into the courtroom, where his numerous successful jury trial results led to him being certified in 2014 as a lifetime member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Membership is limited to attorneys who have obtained recoveries of more than $2 million, and who have paid a fee for lifetime membership. The Supreme Court of New Jersey does not recognize this forum.

He has successfully defended Hall of Famer Jim Brown and sued a former heavy weight boxing champion. He has represented Donald Trump’s Casinos and Walmart on work related injuries.
